Overview

Sesame Oil is considered as the Queen of oils in Ayurveda, used as the main base oil in preparation of Ayurvedic herbal oils for body therapies as it nourishes all seven dhatus (tissue elements) of the body

AYULANKA Mūrcita Taila is specially cured using ancient Ayurveda techniques to maximise antioxidant properties by converting weak antioxidant molecules to an active substance known as Sesamol enhancing the oil’s antioxidants, promoting rejuvenation, and pacifying Vāta Dōsha to relive fatigue and pain.

Mūrcita Taila is also an excellent analgesic and is useful for wound healing, dental health, skin and hair. Application of sesame oil on hair promotes hair growth and makes hair black and soft. Mūrcita Taila is also used in all Dinacarya practices (daily regimens) for health promotion.

Manufacturers advise avoid use during the first trimester. Self-abhyanga (massage) is not recommended during fever, common cold, acute disease conditions, indigestion and menstruation. Avoid use if known to have allergy for Sesame or nuts.

Use with caution if any known allergies.

Recommended to test on inconspicuous patch of skin 48 hours prior to use.

If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use.

Not recommended for use in children under the age of 16.

Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Once opened, use within 6 months.

How to Use

Massage Oil for Regular Self-Massage and for Therapeutic Use

Warm 60 – 100 ml of oil in a hot water bath, 2 – 3 °C above body temperature and apply all over the body gradually covering all the parts of the body. Massage into areas of muscle fatigue, body ache or whole body.

  • Guna: Guru (Heavy), Snigdha (Oily)
  • Vīrya: Ūshna (Hot)
